The rest of the week in San Diego was pretty laid back. Jon and I ended up rented a car and going to over to Point Loma. They have a military cemetery there, a light house and some good views. Here's some more pictures curtousy of Jon.

Rows of white military headstones stretching up a grassy hillside at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, with pine trees along the ridge under a pale blue sky

White military headstones spread across a gently sloping green lawn at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, with the deep blue Pacific Ocean visible on the horizon

A bouquet of deep red roses in sharp focus beside a military headstone in the foreground, with rows of white headstones and the ocean softly blurred in the background

The Old Point Loma Lighthouse, a white stone building with a circular tower topped by a green dome, an American flag on a tall pole to the left, surrounded by scrubby brush and a white picket fence

The Old Point Loma Lighthouse seen from a distance through tree branches, its white walls and green-domed tower rising above a hilltop, an American flag flying to its right against a grey-blue sky

The Cabrillo National Monument statue of Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo on a wide brick plaza overlooking San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean under a clear blue sky

Danielle standing with her back to the camera next to the Cabrillo statue, her red hair visible, looking out over the ocean in bright sunlight

Jon and I are really bad about taking pictures of each other so the only pictures of us that exist from this trip are the last two. Because we stayed a little long in San Diego we were able to make a trip to the San Diego temple. It's such a beautiful temple and it was really nice to be able to spend some time there.
